Every participant is committed to judge his health conditions before taking part in the event, if necessary by consultation of a doctor. The participant has to provide proper equipment. Helmets are obligatory on the bike course, which correspond to the Ansi/Snell-or the new TÜV-/GS-norms . You have to obey the instructions of the organizer and the assistant staff. The event organizer notes, that participants always have to be aware of uneven public roads. While cycling, it is strongly recommended to put both hands on the handlebar and adjust the speed according to the circumstances. In case of complete failure of the event due to force majeure, the participant doesn´t have any right of refund of the registration fee or compensation of further incurred losses e.g. journey or hotel costs. With non-appearance the participant doesn´t have any right of refund of the registration fee. The athletes assume the risk of their participation. The liability of the organizer - also towards third - is limited to intention and rough carelessness. This is also valid for the companies and assistants deployed by the organizer. Each participant must arrange his/her own personal insurance coverage. The organizer is not liable for any injury, accidents or bodily and other damage caused, as far as it is not based on a deliberate or roughly careless duty injury of the organizer or his legal representatives and assistants. The organizer is neither liable for the equipment, which might be lost in the transition area nor for other lost objects of the participants. An insurance against theft is recommended. With receipt of the start number, the participant explains bindingly that no health doubts exist against his participation and that the current disclaimer (to be read on the event homepage) has been accepted. He also agrees with the fact that data, mentioned in the registration will be collected and passed on for time measurement, placing and results. He also agrees with the publication of pictures, shots and interviews, which are done during the event, without any claim of regress. I agree that my available data are provided for promotional purposes to the main sponsors and the premium sponsor of the Cologne Triathlon Weekend. The data will be used exclusively by the main sponsor and the premium sponsors of the Cologne Triathlon Weekend for written, telephone or electronic contact. A storage or archiving of data won´t be done. I may disagree with the consent in writing at any time. Until Februar 15th 2014 70% of the registration fee can be refund. Until May 30th 2014 50% of the registration fee can be refund.
For relays, the registered relay participant agrees to this disclaimer vicariously for the other relay members of the team. Furthermore, he/she assures that his/her relay teammates are familiar with the current rules and agree with them. The previously mentioned matters also hold true if a change (on short notice) in the registration for one or more relay participants occurs.
